Renowned gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey and popular cleric Pastor Jerry Eze have called for immediate and decisive measures to tackle Nigeria’s rising insecurity, urging the government and security agencies to take stronger action against terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.

In a message shared on social media on Wednesday, Pastor Eze prayed for divine judgment on perpetrators and their sponsors.
“About time, God of judgement spares no enemy of Nigeria and their sponsors in Jesus’ name. Enough is enough of this banditry, terrorism, and wickedness,” he declared.

Nathaniel Bassey also voiced deep concern over the worsening security situation, calling for accountability, unity, and firm action.
He appealed to the government, military, intelligence agencies, and citizens to stand together in confronting criminals threatening the nation’s peace.
“Peace shall reign in Nigeria. Nigeria shall prosper and fulfil her destiny in Jesus’ name. Amen,” he added.

Their call comes amid a wave of violent attacks across the country, including the assault on a Christ Apostolic Church parish in Eruku, Kwara State, where suspected bandits k!lled at least two worshippers. In Kebbi State, 25 students of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, were abducted, and a staff member was k!lled during the attack.

The incidents have sparked widespread outrage. Several prominent figures in the entertainment industry — including actors, musicians, and comedians — have also taken to social media to urge the government to act swiftly and decisively in restoring security across the nation.
