Nigerian media personality and actress Nancy Isime has dismissed claims that she played a role in the collapse of businessman Chinedu Nwobodo’s marriage.

The allegations were made by Ify Okafor, a Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom, who accused Nancy and former beauty queen Sylvia Nduka of contributing to the breakdown of her marriage to Nwobodo, owner of Circa Lagos.

In a detailed Facebook post, Ify, from Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State, recounted repeated instances of infidelity by her former husband, some of which she claimed occurred while they were still legally and traditionally married. She said these alleged affairs caused significant pain, shame, and emotional unrest in her home.

Ify also detailed other difficulties in the marriage, including physical attacks, emotional abuse, threats, and controlling behaviour, which she said left her mentally and emotionally drained. She further claimed that her ex-husband abandoned her and their three children when she fell seriously ill last year, providing little support during her recovery.

Despite the social media attention surrounding the allegations, Nancy Isime appeared unbothered. She took to Instagram to share photos from a vacation, jokingly noting her desire to take a break from social media like her colleague, actor Alex Ekubo. She wrote, “I act like I’m happy to be back but deep down I want to pull a @alexxekubo on social media.”

The controversy continues to generate discussions online, but Nancy has not made any direct comments addressing Ify’s claims.
