Nigerian Afrobeats star and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has revealed his plans to contest for the presidency of an African country in the near future.
The ‘Skin Tight’ crooner made the revelation in a video shared via Snapchat, saying he has been reflecting on the possibility for some time.
“I have been thinking about it. I think it’s time to share it with you guys. Some of you might be from some country, specifically in Africa, and you are looking for a president; a president who is not looking for money and power but forward-thinking, young, active and can move your country better.
“So, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency,” he declared.
Mr Eazi, who recently tied the knot with Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has built strong ties with Ghana, where he studied and launched his music career. He is also credited with pioneering Banku music, a fusion of Nigerian and Ghanaian sounds.
His declaration adds to the growing list of Nigerian celebrities expressing political ambitions. In April 2025, actress Eniola Badmus revealed her desire to become a senator, while former lawmaker Ben Bruce once predicted that singer Davido would one day become the Governor of Osun State.
