Joy Ikedinma is a
service-oriented humanitarian and a young leader with a mission to
display the richness and cultural/ethnic values within the Nigerian
Community in the United States.
She moved to New York City at a young age with nothing but a dream and the
aspiration to improve not just her life, but also the lives of those she left behind in Nigeria.
Joy
completed a baccalaureate degree in Healthcare Service Administration
and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Public Health. Since
graduating from college, she has led several medical and educational
missions to Nigeria. She recently set up an NGO with a mission to
promote female education and empowerment as well as assist women who
passionately promote the Nigerian culture in their unique ways.

Joy is
the Founder of the Miss Nigeria USA Organization, which was established
to raise the profile of the Nigerian-American woman and to expand her
opportunities by creating a platform for her to share her vision with
the world.She is also the Founder of “Empower 4 Change Inc.,’ a
Non-Profit organization with a mission to supplement the educational
needs of children in rural Nigeria by implementing a modern Learning and
Computer Center in schools in those regions.
Joy has
been able to push past her comfort zone to realize these
accomplishments because she stands on the shoulders of the giants who
have paved the way for her. She aspires to- just like them- pave the way
for the young girls coming behind.
