A concerned Nigerian citizen has called attention to what he described as poor drainage planning along portions of the newly constructed Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
In a video shared on social media, the man highlighted drainage issues around the Ogombo Road axis in Ajah, Lagos—specifically near Landmark Estate Boulevard and behind Chartered House School.
“I’m on the coastal road and I don’t know the reason why drainage has not been put in its right position here,” he said while filming the affected section.
He urged the appropriate authorities to deploy engineers to the site for proper inspection and corrective action, warning that the issue is not isolated to one area.
“This is not the only place we have this,” he added. “We have this on several parts of the road.”
The video has sparked conversation online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the potential long-term effects of inadequate drainage on the multi-billion-naira infrastructure project.
