The incident began when the troll criticized Lizzy Jay’s appearance, calling her “dry” in response to a photo she posted. The actress swiftly fired back at the remark, sparking reactions online.
However, following the backlash, the troll offered an unreserved apology to Lizzy Jay.
Reacting to the apology, the actress wrote:
“My people @mopelolajaiye has apologized for the comment she made on my post few days ago, even though this her apology get as e be, but let’s sha forgive her, please stop going to her page to yab her. You all should please cease fire.
And I learnt that she sells Beddings(bedsheets, blankets/covers, pillowcases, etc.), please patronize her @mopelolajaiye (maybe if her business is booming and she’s busy making sales, she won’t really have the time and energy to body shame people)
But on a more serious note, please patronize her if you can; let’s show her that it’s all love over here. We support people here, we are not bullies.
