Lenscope Academy
is a media training institution tailored as a Vocational Enterprise Institution
(VEI) and Innovation Enterprise Institution (IEI) to contribute to Youths
empowerment by giving back to society through strengthening the capacity of
Youths to discover their natural talents and abilities to operate media
equipment such as the Camera and use it to create wealth. The school will
facilitate the access of stakeholders to information, education and impart core
production values using primarily a hands-on approach to training in media as
support staff or professional engagement. The communication made available to
stakeholders through studio and location based practical lessons and other
classroom activities to support it would facilitate a process of positive
decision-making and actions that will serve to contribute to growth in media
activities and facilitate required support for youth empowerment interventions.
The Academy will
provide for all the creative aspects of filmmaking such as Acting, Directing,
Producing, Directing, Editing, Camera-work Scrip-writing and Designs as well as
Radio production techniques and practices.
The content of
the courses offered is strongly professional, while at the same time being
broadly based on a background of humane studies relevant to the Cinema or
Radio. On the practical side, each student should have the opportunity during
his studies of participating in productions of various kinds.
At Lenscope
Academy, students have the chance to prepare themselves for these opportunities.
Thus the school continues to look for students who are highly motivated to work
professionally in some aspects of Films, Radio or Television, who will be able
to accept responsibility inside established private and public owned media
organizations and who will be able equally to create new projects of their own
and extend their own opportunities to new areas of communication and
production.
