Nigeria mourns the loss of one of its leading constitutional lawyers, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN), who served as the former Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide. The legal luminary passed away at the age of 92 at his Lagos apartment on Sunday, October 29.
The news of Professor Nwabueze’s passing was confirmed by the President General of Atani Town Union, Arinze Nzeli, who revealed that the legal icon had been ill for some time before the tragic event.
The member representing the Ogbaru federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Afam Ogene also confirmed the Incident in a Text, stating that the former Ohaneze Ndigbo Secretary-General died on Sunday.
Ben Nwabueze, hails from Atani, Anambra State. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and was born in 1931.
