A resident of Rafiki Village in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, Mr Patrick Gazu, has regained his freedom after being abducted by suspected kidnappers.
Gazu was reportedly kidnapped at about 11:57 p.m. on September 30, 2025, at his residence in Rafiki Village.
He was said to have been released following sustained pressure from troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, alongside other security agencies involved in efforts to secure his release.
Security sources said Gazu has since been reunited with his family and is currently safe.
Meanwhile, security agencies have commenced a manhunt for the suspected kidnappers, with efforts ongoing to track down and apprehend those responsible for the abduction.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama said the successful rescue highlights the continued efforts of security agencies to rescue kidnapping victims and disrupt criminal activities in Plateau State.
