Popular Nigerian singer Asake has reacted to allegations of neglect made by his father, Fatai Odunsi, who is reportedly battling a partial stroke.
In a viral video, Odunsi appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance, claiming he had not seen his son since his illness began in March 2022.
Reacting to the allegations in a new freestyle video released on Friday, Asake stated that it was impossible to please everyone.
He lamented that his father was trying to cajole him despite the financial support he had provided.
He noted that despite his hard work, some individuals were intent on making life difficult for him.
“You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me,” Asake freestyled in a mixture of Yoruba and English.
