Kano State Commissioner for Transport, Ibrahim Namadi, has resigned from his position, just hours after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf received the findings of an investigative committee examining his alleged role in securing bail for a suspected drug baron, Sulaiman Danwawu.
Namadi’s resignation comes amid mounting pressure following the probe, which cast a spotlight on his purported involvement in the controversial bail process.
The state government has yet to issue an official statement on the development, but sources say the resignation was submitted shortly after the committee’s report was presented to the governor.
