Several passengers were injured on Monday after a train traveling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed following a collision near Asham.
The incident was confirmed by Kayode Opeifa, who assured that no fatalities occurred. Injured passengers were transported back to Idu Train Station for medical attention.
Opeifa stated that the Nigerian Railway Corporation is conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the derailment.
“It is confirmed that our Abuja-Kaduna train had an incident at Asham. Passengers were injured while an investigation is ongoing into the exact cause of the incident,” he told Daily Post.
