
The Nigerian police force latest attack which comes days after a similar attempt was frustrated by security forces.
The infamous Boko Haram insurgents have always attacked villages and settlements in Borno state, Nigeria Insurgents in Nigeria’s Northeastern state of Borno have attacked the Mandarari ward in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno killing seven people, the police have said.
According to the law enforcement agency on a report released on Friday, May 5, 2017 that the seven people died after two female members of the terrorist group detonated explosive devices they were laced with.
Vanguard quotes Malam Murtala Ibrahim of the Borno Police Command Public Relations Unit as confirming the incident in statement he issued in Maiduguri.
Following reports from Ibrahim, the attack took place late Thursday, May 4. “Yesterday at about 22.45 hours, two suspected female su*cide bombers detonated explosives strapped to their bodies at Mandarari ward in Konduga LGA, killing themselves and five others. “Six persons sustained various degrees of injuries.
“The corpses and injured persons were evacuated to General Hospital Konduga, and normalcy restored to the area,” the statement said.
Reports show that the three suspected female bombers were earlier killed as they attempted to attack a military outpost near Muna garage in the outskirt of Maiduguri.
