The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has provided candidates with simple steps to recover or reset their profile passwords when they are forgotten.
According to JAMB, candidates can reset a lost or forgotten profile password using the mobile phone number linked to their registration.
To reset the password, candidates should send an SMS containing the word “PASSWORD”, followed by a space and their registered email address, to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.
The Board advised candidates to keep their registered phone numbers and other login details secure, as these are important for accessing JAMB services.
JAMB also warned candidates against sharing sensitive information such as passwords, registration numbers and e-PINs with unauthorised persons.
The Board recently introduced a controlled procedure allowing candidates who have genuinely lost access to their registered phone numbers or email accounts to update their details. The service is available only once and is subject to identity and biometric verification.
Candidates are advised to use only official JAMB channels for account recovery and other registration-related services.
