Imo State Governor Announces New Appointments

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has made new appointments, including assigning new portfolios to key commissions in the state.

Confirming the new appointments, the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, in a press statement made available to journalists, informed that Nick Obinatu heads the Local Government Service Commission as its chairman, with three commissioners appointed from the three geopolitical zones in the state.

The release further informed that Mrs. Julie Onyeukwu heads the Civil Service Commission as its new chairman, with three commissioners from the three geopolitical zones, respectively.

The Governor, according to the press statement, also approved the appointment of Ken Onyeali Ikpe as Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy and Communication.

Emelumba stated that their appointments take immediate effect.

The appointments are coming as the governor is set to mark the first anniversary of his second term in office.
