Controversial Nigerian street-pop star Portable has revealed that he received ₦40 million to accept a proposed celebrity boxing match with popular streamer Carter Efe.
The singer disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page, explaining that the payment was made by organisers simply for confirming his readiness to participate in the bout. He expressed strong confidence ahead of the contest, insisting he would emerge victorious.
Portable further claimed that music executive Soso Soberekon and businessman E-Money have each promised to reward him with an additional ₦50 million and a car if he defeats Carter Efe in the ring.
“I have received ₦40 million from the organisers. They paid me the money just for accepting to fight Carter Efe. I’m very sure that I will defeat him,” he said in the video.
The proposed match gained attention online after Soberekon earlier announced a ₦50 million cash prize for the winner, prompting interest from both entertainers.
Carter Efe has since accepted the challenge. In a separate video posted on his page, he confirmed his readiness for the fight and urged organisers to fix a date, signalling that both parties are willing to proceed with the celebrity showdown.
