One of the most touching moments at Ayoola Adeleke’s traditional wedding to Jessica Allen was when billionaire businessman, Deji Adeleke, and his brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke, went down in full Yoruba tradition to prostrate before their in-laws.
The two brothers, representing the groom’s family, performed the age-old custom of kneeling before the bride’s family to formally seek her hand in marriage on behalf of their son and nephew, Ayoola.
The gesture drew admiration from guests, who praised the Adeleke family for honoring Yoruba culture despite their wealth and status.
As expected, other male members of the groom’s family also joined in the symbolic act — a mark of respect, humility, and unity between both families.
The event, held in Lagos on Monday, November 4, was filled with love, laughter, and vibrant displays of Yoruba tradition.
