Professor Musa Dankyau, a lecturer at Bingham University, Abuja, has been abducted by gunmen from his residence in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Monday night around 9:30 p.m. at SA Estate, located along Guratopp Road in Jos South, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the report via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
The assailants reportedly stormed the estate and whisked the professor away to an unknown destination.
Security agencies have since launched a coordinated search-and-rescue operation aimed at securing the professor’s release and apprehending the perpetrators.
As of the time of filing this report, no group has claimed responsibility, and the motive behind the abduction remains unclear.
