In response to improved security conditions in Mangu Local Government Area, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has announced the relaxation of the 24-hour curfew previously imposed. The new curfew will be in effect from 8 am to 4 pm daily until further notice, allowing residents to engage in normal activities during these hours.

The decision to lift the curfew follows positive developments in the security situation, attributed to strategic engagements with community leaders representing various faiths and ethnic groups within the council area.

Governor Mutfwang, in a statement, highlighted the remarkable improvement in security and informed the public of the curfew adjustment after due consultation with the State Security Council. He emphasized the importance of residents strictly observing the curfew by remaining indoors from 4 pm to 8 am, urging them to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
