The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Plateau state has described the official declaration for the Senate seat by the Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong in Shendam LGA on Saturday as a “Declaration of Failure”
The PDP through its State Publicity Secretary, John T. Akans, made this known via a press statement on Monday in Jos the Plateau state capital.
The Statement Reads:
It’s unfortunate that Governor Lalong’s administration has prioritised wasting of billions of naira belonging to the state on personal issues in particular on his yesterday’s senatorial ambition, while leaving entitlements of pensioners for years with salaries of civil servants now getting to three months and other illegal deductions unpaid.
It is sad that with the poor attendance, 95 percent of those who attended the declaration were transported from across thea 16 local government areas on the state’s bill.
A Senatorial declaration that is 95 percent attendance from across the State should have been held in Rwang Pam stadium Jos not shendam, from information available to us, over N500 million of Plateau State money was spent on that declaration while more than N1 billion was spent on the governor’s consultation within the zone,”
We challenge Governor Lalong to tell Plateau people in particular southern senatorial zone how well he has governed the state to qualify him to represent them in the Senate?
Today! Plateau State residents can no longer sleep with their eyes closed, most of the roads have been taken over by bandits who are kidnapping people at will and collecting ransom while our dear Governor is busy pursuing his personal ambition.
Very sad and unfortunate.
