The Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Lalong has been nominated for an award by the Nation newspaper. According to a letter of nomination signed by Sam Omatseye, Governor Simon Lalong ” has been identified for recognition for his agricultural development strides in the past three years”.
The event which will be declared opened by President Mohammadu Buhari on thursday will also witness awards to dignitaries from the public and private sectors in the area of Agriculture, culture and Food security.
Governor Simon Lalong is being celebrated for creating the enabling environment through the resusication of the Fertilizer blending plant in Bokkos, procurement of tractors and other deliberate efforts made to improve productivity by focusing on the whole value chain emphasis on enterprises where the state has comparative advantage.
