Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Governor of Kebbi state has lost his bid to be elected into the Senate to represent the Kebbi Central Senatorial District.
Announcing the result in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State capital, the Returning Officer Professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Adamu Aliero winner having scored 126,588 votes against Governor Bagudu, the Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum, who scored 92,389 votes.
In the same vein, Senator Bala Na’allah who is seeking a fifth term in the National Assembly for Kebbi South Senatorial District has lost the election. The result released by the Returning Officer, Professor Ibrahim Mohammed, shows that Senator Na’allah of the APC secured 70,785 votes losing to PDP’s Garba Madaki who secured 75,232 votes.
