Nigerian gospel singer Kunle Kenny has sparked conversations online after revealing that he plans to undergo a vasectomy when he and his wife decide they have had the number of children they desire.

The singer shared his views on family planning in a post on X, stating that he does not want his wife to bear the burden of hormonal birth control methods due to their potential side effects.

According to Kenny, decisions about having children should be mutual and guided by God’s will, stressing that he would rather take responsibility for permanent birth control himself once their family is complete.

“Nobody is putting any birth control thing inside my wife’s body. No extraneous chemicals or pills. We will only have kids when we BOTH unanimously agree, as God allows in His mercy. And when we’re done, I’m getting a vasectomy. A woman’s body is too sensitive for these chemicals. The side effects are crazy!” he wrote.

His comments attracted support from several male followers, some of whom agreed with his position and shared similar views on family planning and reproductive responsibility.

The post has since generated reactions on social media, with users debating the role of men and women in making decisions about contraception and family planning.
