Frank Lampard returns to Chelsea as Interim Manager

Chelsea has appointed the former manager Frank Lampard as caretaker boss of the club until the end of the season.

This was announced via the club’s official Twitter account on Thursday.

The Chelsea legend managed the club for 18 months before being sacked as head coach at Stamford Bridge in January 2021. He then took over at Everton but lost his job in January after less than a year in the role.

Lampard takes training on Thursday afternoon and is in charge of Chelsea’s game at Wolves today Saturday, 8 April after agreeing to a deal to return to his former club.
