Four Nigerian Migrants Arrested for Alleged Prostitution in Libya

Libyan authorities have arrested four Nigerian migrants—three women and a man—over alleged prostitution in Aqar, Shatii District.

According to a statement by Migrant Rescue Watch on Friday, February 14, 2025, the arrests were made during a police raid on a residence suspected to be used for illegal activities.

“Aqar Police Dept. conducted a raid on a residence used by migrants for prostitution.

“During op, 3 females and 1 male of Nigerian nationality were arrested.

“All referred to public prosecution for legal action,” the statement read.
