The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has claimed that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Onadeko made the allegation during an interview while dismissing claims that Osoba’s previous battle with breast cancer was responsible for her death.
The actress, who died at the age of 40, had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and the treatment she received.
However, Onadeko insisted that her death was unrelated to the illness. He also denied reports that she was poisoned, maltreated or that funds donated towards her cancer treatment were diverted.
According to him, he received a midnight phone call from an unidentified person informing him that Osoba had died at a police station. He said, however, that he was unable to identify the particular police station where the alleged death occurred.
Onadeko also refuted claims that Osoba had been prevented from driving, saying she drove herself to Iperu shortly before her death.
He further dismissed allegations of mistreatment, including claims that the actress was subjected to degrading treatment involving faeces or urine.
The allegations and denials surrounding Osoba’s death have continued to generate reactions, with further clarification from relevant authorities potentially needed to establish the circumstances surrounding her passing.
