The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Edo State, Gbenga Agun, has died.
Agun reportedly slumped on Thursday in Benin City while attending an event organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocates, shortly after delivering a keynote address.
He was rushed to the Military Hospital along Airport Road, Benin, for urgent medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Edo State Command nor the NSCDC national headquarters has issued an official statement on his death.
