The Department of State Services (DSS) has debunked viral claims suggesting it is currently conducting a recruitment exercise, categorically describing the reports as false.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the DSS advised Nigerians to disregard the information, warning that it was misleading and unfounded.
Some of the circulating reports had alleged that the Service was recruiting individuals with primary and secondary school certificates for roles such as electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and carpenters.
However, in a post on its official X on Wednesday, the DSS advised Nigerians to disregard reports of the ecruitment process.
The post read: “The public is advised to ignore any misleading or false information about the service’s recruitment process. Disregard such claims, please.”
