Drama as Suspect in Billionaire’s Disappearance Arrives Court in Ambulance

There was drama at the Anambra State High Court, Awka, on Thursday, February 20, as one of the suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance of billionaire businessman Benjamin Ezenma, popularly known as “Big Ben”, arrived at the courtroom in an ambulance.

The court had arraigned three individuals—Ọzo Jeff Nweke, Tochukwu Nwokoye, and David Chukwuemeka Chinonso—over their alleged involvement in the conspiracy and kidnapping of Ezenma, the Vice Chairman of Dubai Estate, Awka, who has been missing since November 12, 2024.

The suspects – Ọzo Jeff Nweke, Messrs Tochukwu Nwokoye and David Chukwuemeka Chinonso, were arraigned before the Administrative Judge, Awka Judicial Division, Justice Ike Ogu, on charges bothering on conspiracy and kidnapping of Big Ben who was said to have disappeared since November 12, 2024.

According to eyewitnesses, Jeff Nweke was conveyed to the court in an ambulance, with a neck brace and a drip attached to his body.

 

He was brought out of the ambulance and wheeled into the court room on a stretcher.

 

However, the three defendants in suit no. AWK/6C/2025 pleaded not guilty to the two count charges read before them in the Court.
