
There was mild drama on Wednesday at the headquarters of the
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as sacked Senator
representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye was denied
access into the premises of the Commission.
Melaye in the company of some journalists was refused entry into the commission’s premises
It is alleged that the senator had gone to INEC to submit more petitions.
A camera belonging to one of the Journalists was said to have been seized but later released when Melaye intervened.
DAILY POST had reported that Melaye,
who is the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the Kogi West
Senatorial rerun election, had last week stormed INEC’s headquarters
where he had presented 21 video and documentary evidence.
