Nigerian music star Davido used his appearance at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert held at the Crypto.com Arena to draw global attention to an ongoing kidnapping crisis in Nigeria.

The singer delivered an emotional performance while wearing a custom-designed jacket dedicated to 39 abducted students and seven teachers reportedly taken by terrorists in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on May 15.

The outfit featured green badges bearing the names of the victims, along with a bold inscription on the back that read: “Bring Them Home,” symbolising a call for their safe rescue.

Before his performance, Davido also spoke briefly about the incident, expressing concern for the victims and their families and urging authorities to intensify rescue efforts.

“May God be with the families of the abducted and the ones that have been killed… we are praying every day and hoping the government hastens up with their rescue,” he said, describing the situation as deeply painful.

The moment has since gained attention online, with many praising the singer for using an international stage to highlight insecurity challenges in Nigeria.
