Afrobeats star Davido has opened up about a missed opportunity to dine with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, blaming the incident on Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the music icon shared how Ronaldo had personally invited him to Old Trafford to watch a match and had planned an after-party dinner to celebrate. However, things didn’t go as expected.
According to Davido, Manchester United lost the game, which left Ronaldo visibly upset. As a result, the Portuguese star canceled the celebration and went straight home, leaving Davido and others hanging.
According to him, the outcome of the incident is the reason he will never forgive Maguire.
His tweet reads,“Football ehn fit give person BP. I remember when CR7 personally invite me come watch match for Old trafford then couple years ago. He don book dinner ALL! Party chillin etc. Nah so dem go lose match .. BABA VEX GO HOUSE. Since that day I still never forgive Maguire 😂😂”.
