Dangote Refinery has slashed its ex-depot petrol price in a bid to strengthen its competitive position against the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and other filling stations across the country.
According to Petroleumpriceng, the refinery’s ex-depot price fell to ₦699 per litre on Friday morning, down from ₦828 per litre—a ₦129 (15.58%) reduction.
This latest adjustment is the refinery’s approximately 20th price review for the year and comes just ahead of the Yuletide season.
The reduction follows similar moves by the NNPC and other fuel stations, which have implemented at least two price cuts in the past three weeks, bringing retail petrol prices in Abuja to between ₦915 and ₦937 per litre.
