COVID-19: Another new daily highest Cases recorded in Nigeria

Nigeria recorded its highest number of daily infections of Coronavirus in months on Wednesday 6th January 2021 with 1664 new cases.

The latest figure beats the 1354 cases reported on January 5th, which until last night was the highest recorded on a single day in the country. (Read Here)

1664 new cases of COVID19 were recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, January 6.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 642, the highest for the day while the FCT recorded 407 fresh cases.

Other states with fresh cases include Plateau-160, Kaduna-83, Rivers-62, Adamawa-47, Nasarawa-38, Abia-29, Edo-28, Anambra-27, Niger-24, Ogun-24, Imo-15, Oyo-14, Kano-12, Osun-12, Borno-9, Delta-7, Enugu-7, Bauchi-5, Ekiti-5, Sokoto-5 and Jigawa-2.

 

Nigeria now has 94, 369 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 77, 299 patients have been discharged while 1324 deaths have been recorded so far.
