Nigerian businessman and social media personality Isaac Fayose has claimed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not secure up to 20 percent of the votes from Nigeria’s South East in the 2027 presidential election.
Fayose made the assertion in an Instagram post while reacting to the recent outing of the City Boys Movement in Owerri.
Members of the City Boys Movement, a campaign organisation reportedly established by Seyi Tinubu, had visited Imo State earlier in the week to mobilise support for the president.
However, the event drew criticism on social media over what observers described as a low turnout, despite the presence of some celebrities, including popular socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest.
Reacting to the development, Fayose said he was ready to stake N10 million with members of the group, insisting that unless the election is rigged, President Tinubu would not secure 20 percent of the total votes cast in the region.
“The City Boys Movement outing in Owerri, Imo State yesterday was a show of shame,” he wrote.
“Security operatives wey dey there pass the crowd. I am ready to bet any of them with N10 million. President Tinubu won’t get 20 percent of the total vote cast come 2027.”
