American singer and model Chlöe Bailey has opened up about her decision to keep her romantic life out of the public eye, saying she wants to protect her career from unnecessary scrutiny.
Bailey, who is reportedly in a relationship with Nigerian singer Burna Boy, shared this during a recent livestream while responding to a fan’s question about her love life.
“I decided to keep my relationship private because people on the internet tend to take advantage of it to discredit my music career and all,” she said.
The Have Mercy crooner explained that public discussions about her relationships often overshadow her work, prompting her to prioritize privacy and focus on her music.
Chlöe and Burna Boy’s relationship first drew public attention in late 2024, following her visit to Lagos, where the two were seen together on multiple occasions, including public outings and a collaborative studio session.
Reports in 2025 confirmed they dated earlier this year, although their current relationship status remains unclear.
