Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has been nominated for the 2025 CAF Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.

This marks the second consecutive year the Chippa United shot-stopper is in contention for the prestigious honour. Nwabali earned his first nomination in 2024 but lost to Mamelodi Sundowns’ Ronwen Williams, who clinched the award last year.

Meanwhile, Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi has also been shortlisted for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.

Bameyi impressed with standout performances for Nigeria at both the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, cementing his reputation as one of the continent’s brightest young talents.
