Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has achieved another global milestone by becoming the African artist with the most entries on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, WGFT from the rapper’s new album The Last Wun, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100, raising Burna Boy’s career total to seven entries.
This feat also makes the ‘Last Last’ crooner the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years—2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Burna Boy first appeared on the chart in 2021 with Loved By You, a collaboration with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. He followed it up with his first solo entry in 2022 when Last Last peaked at number 44.
Beyond the Billboard Hot 100, Burna Boy also holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11), further cementing his status as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.
