Nigerian music heavyweights Burna Boy, Davido, and Ayra Starr will battle for Artiste of the Year at the 11th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The 2025 nominations, released this week, saw Burna Boy and Davido clinch five nods each, while rising star Shallipopi secured four, including Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year.
Rema also earned three nominations, one of which places him in the Artiste of the Year category. Ayra Starr, with two nominations, will likewise contend for the top prize against fellow Nigerians and Moroccan sensation El Grande Toto.
Organisers announced that global public voting for the awards will open on September 10, 2025.
The week-long ceremony is scheduled to take place in Nigeria from November 25 to 30, 2025, celebrating Africa’s biggest stars and their contributions to global music.
