Grammy-winning Nigerian Afrofusion star Burna Boy has sparked widespread conversation after reports emerged that he has embraced Islam, a development that has drawn mixed reactions from fans and commentators.

Speculation about the singer’s faith intensified after his associate, Rahman Jago, shared a video on social media showing Burna Boy using the phrase “Alhamdulillah,” meaning “Praise be to God.” The clip quickly circulated online, prompting questions about whether the artist had formally converted.

The discussion deepened when former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad weighed in on the issue, noting that some people close to the singer claimed he had converted, though there had been no official confirmation from Burna Boy at the time.

Rahman Jago later made a more definitive claim, writing online that the artist had indeed embraced Islam and was now a Muslim.

Amid the growing speculation, Burna Boy appeared to confirm the development during a livestream hosted by Plaueboymax, where he discussed his spiritual journey and shared personal reflections about creation and faith.

The singer’s religious views had previously been a subject of discussion after he hinted in an earlier interview that he had embraced Islam at some point while searching for spiritual truth.

Since the latest videos surfaced, reactions have remained divided, with some fans congratulating the artist on his spiritual path while others continue to debate the implications of his statements and beliefs.
