Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudsters impersonating her on social media to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.
In a post shared on her verified Instagram page Thursday evening, the UK-based actress revealed that several fake accounts have been created in her name to promote fraudulent activities, including a supposed job vacancy in the United Kingdom.
Wright disowned the post, describing it as “fraudulent,” and emphasized that she would never ask anyone for money, personal details, or private conversations on any platform outside her official page.
“Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested money. I will never request personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page,” she stated.
She urged her fans and the general public to remain vigilant and disregard any such misleading posts. “A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in the UK and we realized it was fraudulent. Please disregard. Your safety and trust mean so much to me,” Wright added.
