Plateau state independent electoral commission, PLASIEC on Thursday
announced the results of Wednesday’s local government elections
conducted in Plateau state.
Announcing the result at the PLASIEC headquarters Chairman plateau
state independent electoral commission, Fabian Ntung said the All
Progressives Congress,APC won eleven out of the thirteen chairmanship
election held in plateau state.
The PLASIEC Chairman explained that the elections for Langtang North
and Mangu were declared inconclusive as a result of ballot box snatching
and other electoral irregularities.
However in a swift reaction , The People Democratic Party has rejected the result as announced by PLASIEC.
Chairman of the PDP in plateau state, Damishi Sango while briefing
Journalist in his office said the PDP Won in all of the local government
except Kanan.
He described the result as fraudulent as collation was still on going
as at the time of filling this report, yet PLASIEC went ahead to
announce the results.
