
The Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, has further relaxed the imposed Curfew in Jos and Bukuru metropolis. With effect from Thursday the 21st September, 2017 the relaxation of the Curfew is further adjust from 12midnight to 6am daily.
This was contained in a press release considering the massive improvement in
the state of security, since the unfortunate incidence of Thursday, 14th
September, 2017

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong having considered further the steady improvement in the state of security within the Greater Jos-Bukuru metropolis since the imposition of a dusk to dawn curfew, on thursday the 14th of September 2017 , and its subsequent relaxation on Sunday the 17th September, 2017 has approved a further relaxation of the Curfew from 12 midnight daily to 6am of the subsequent day, with effect from thursday 21st september 2017, until further notice.
The Executive Governor wishes to commend all law abiding citizens and stake holders in the peace process on the plateau, for making the quick restoration of peace and security a success. He further calls on all communities to sustain vigilance and intensify community policing to forestall any situation that is likely to upset the hard earned peace in the state.
Meanwhile the Governor has restated and reaffirmed the commitment of all Security operatives to ensure law and order always, in areas of concern within the metropolis that are currently being intensively patrolled and policed, to guarantee the safety and rights of all citizens to go about their businesses without let or hinderance.
