Shiite Protesters Take Over Maitama Area Of Abuja. Several
gunshots have been fired. Also the entire Aguiyi Ironsi and Gana
Streets in Maitama vicinity are currently eye-blazing with so much tear
gas in the air, fired from Police tear gas canisters.
Some protesters have been shot fatally according to reports.

Some protesters in the federal capital, Abuja, were on Monday,
forcefully dispersed by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force in the
Maitama area of the city.
It was gathered that the protesters are believed to be Shiites
demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who has been
detained without trial for over two years.
