The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at its retail outlets in Abuja from N945 to N890 per litre.
The price adjustment, implemented on Thursday, was observed at several NNPCL stations, including Danziyal Plaza Mega Station in the Central Area, Wuse Zone 4, Wuse Zone 6, and other outlets across the Federal Capital Territory. The review represents a N55 drop per litre.
“It was reduced to N890 per litre this afternoon, down from N945,” a fuel attendant at one of the outlets told Daily Post anonymously.
The development follows similar price adjustments by MRS Empire Energy, which on Thursday revised its pump prices to N885 and N946 per litre, from N910 and N955 respectively.
Industry watchers link the reduction to Dangote Refinery’s recent ex-depot petrol price cut of N30 — from N850 to N820 per litre — alongside fluctuations in global crude oil prices.
