Nigeria mourns the loss of a true pioneer in the field of accounting as Pa Akintola Williams, the Doyen of Accounting, has died.
Pa Akintola Williams passed away on Monday morning at 9 a.m.
His passing marks the end of an era in Nigerian accounting history as he is the first Nigerian to qualify as a chartered accountant.
Williams participated in founding of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
