Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, today placed order for 20 tricycles
assembled by a state indigine, Mr Stine Chenge, in Gboko.
He placed the order at the Benue Peoples House today when Mr Chenge presented one of the vehicles to him.

The Governor stated that the order was a demonstration of his support for the initiative which he urged other youths to emulate.

According
to him, his administration was committed to collaborating with
indigenes and other partners who had creative ideas that could
contribute to the development of the state.

He expressed hope
that the order would enable Mr Chenge to produce more of the cycles and
also venture into more production of the brand.

Making the
presentation, Mr Chenge stated that he came up with the idea to make the
tricycles which he named Wazobiakeke so that transportation could be
more affordable to farmers in the rural areas in support of the
agricultural program of the Ortom administration.

He said he chose to use available and commonly used motorcycles so that users could readily find the spare parts and repairers.

Mr Chenge stated that the cost ranged from N270, 000 according to the number purchased.
