BBNaija: Nomy Disqualified After Repeatedly Defying Big Brother

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Whitney “Nomy” Chukwu, has been disqualified from the ongoing ‘Show Ya Sef’ reality show following repeated defiance of Big Brother’s instructions.

Nomy’s disqualification was announced on Monday, September 7, after Big Brother confronted her over her conduct while serving as the week’s Bench Warmer.

As part of the punishment, Nomy had been instructed to wear a designated vest and remain on an assigned bench after finishing last in a recent Head of House challenge. However, she left both the bench and vest behind despite being instructed to comply.

The latest incident came after several previous warnings over her conduct in the house. Nomy had earlier received a strike, which Big Brother described as her “last and final warning,” over repeated disregard for his instructions.

Addressing her latest infringement, Big Brother reminded Nomy that participation in the reality show was a privilege before revoking her right to continue in the competition.

She was subsequently given 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the Big Brother house.

Nomy, 26, whose full name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, is a fashion entrepreneur and founder of Ambition by Witme. She joined the Season 11 house in July and became known for her outspoken personality and strong fashion identity.

Her disqualification makes her the first housemate to be removed from the Season 11 competition on disciplinary grounds and ends her bid for the season’s ₦160 million grand prize. Her exit leaves 15 housemates in the competition.
