Reports have confirmed another unfortunate
guerrilla attack on Wereh village in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau state.
Suspected herdsmen are said to have attacked the village in the early
hours of this evening (Tuesday 10th October), killing a very prominent
ex-government official, his associate and a soldier.
At the time of filing this report, additional details about the circumstances of the attack were still trickling in.
Barkin Ladi LGA has been a constant flash point, which has suffered
several attacks at various times in the past 5 years. In the past,
villages such as Jol, sho and Kurra were particularly affected by
attacks by suspected herdsmen.
