Former Member of the House of Representatives for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has declared that Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang will be the most difficult governor to challenge in Nigeria come the 2027 general elections.
Bagos, who represented the constituency from 2019 to 2023, made the statement in Jos while commending the Plateau State Governor’s performance and developmental strides since assuming office.
According to the former lawmaker, Governor Mutfwang’s leadership has transcended politics, focusing instead on delivering results that are winning the hearts of the people across party lines.
“It is increasingly clear that His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, is redefining governance and setting an unprecedented pace of development across all sectors of Plateau State,” Bagos stated. “2027 will be about the candidates, not party affiliations or national influence. On that basis, Mutfwang will be the most formidable governor to challenge.”
He cited the Governor’s bold infrastructural investments, including road construction in both urban and rural areas, as well as reforms in health, education, and job creation, as major achievements that have earned him widespread public trust.
Bagos emphasized that the Governor’s approach to human capital development—particularly in youth empowerment and technical education—has restored hope and pride among Plateau citizens.
Quoting Governor Mutfwang’s recent media engagement, Bagos echoed the Governor’s words:
“We are not here for politics. We are here to serve. Our eyes are on the future, and we will not be distracted by cheap political noise. The people of Plateau deserve nothing but the best.”
“These are not just political statements,” Bagos added. “They reflect the Governor’s sincerity, and the people are witnessing the difference firsthand.”
He also highlighted the administration’s commitment to reviving abandoned projects, improving rural infrastructure, expanding access to water, and attracting partnerships from both local investors and the diaspora.
“Plateau is no longer begging for development—it is experiencing it,” Bagos declared. “By 2027, Governor Mutfwang’s track record will speak louder than propaganda. His performance is his campaign.”
Concluding his statement, Bagos asserted that Governor Mutfwang’s growing popularity and delivery-focused leadership have made him a unifying figure, admired even beyond the state.
“2027 is not about political parties. It’s about leadership and impact. Plateau people want His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and the facts on the ground support that,” Bagos said.
